By using LSD Field Maps, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Independent ownership and no affiliation

LSD Field Maps is a privately and independently owned website operated by an individual. It is not a corporation, government service, survey authority, utility, regulator, emergency service, or oil and gas company. References to governments, datasets, mapping providers, navigation services, or companies do not imply affiliation, sponsorship, authorization, or endorsement.

Reference tool only

The service provides informational survey-location references and navigation handoffs. Results are not a legal survey, boundary determination, title opinion, well-centre confirmation, lease entrance, access authorization, emergency-navigation service, or professional advice.

Field safety and access

You are responsible for independently confirming coordinates, legal land descriptions, road conditions, access rights, landowner permission, site instructions, hazards, closures, weather, and regulator requirements before travel or operations. Do not rely on this service where an error could create a safety, environmental, legal, operational, or financial risk.

Data and third-party services

Survey data, map tiles, imagery, roads, labels, and navigation links come from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. A polygon centre may not correspond to a safe or lawful destination. Saskatchewan and British Columbia conversions remain inactive until separate datasets are integrated.

Availability and pricing

The service is currently offered without charge. Free access may be changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued in the future. No paid price, discount, or continuing availability is promised.

Acceptable use

Do not overload, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, probe, bypass controls, or misuse the service. Automated or bulk access requires prior written permission. You must use the service lawfully and must not use it to trespass, interfere with operations, or create a safety risk.

Intellectual property

The LSD Field Maps name, interface, original text, and original visual assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party names, marks, data, and services remain the property of their respective owners.

No warranties and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of accuracy, completeness, fitness, availability, or uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for losses arising from reliance on results, third-party data or services, field access, navigation, or service interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes, governing law, and severability

These terms may be updated by posting a revised effective date. They are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
